Barbara Ford, Business Consultant:
"A voice worth waiting for. Picture yourself in Ireland when Christy sings Tyree Love Song. Please write some more songs!"

Christy began her singing career in New York in the late 60's and early 70's. Opting for college in the west, she married in 1975 and put her career on hold to raise four children. In 1985, she moved to Colorado and joined a community choir just to be able to "sing something somewhere." It was at this time that she began to study voice and found that she had the voice for opera. "I studied voice for six years and turned my attention away from folk music so that I could really focus on the classics. I even gave my guitar away!"

Anita Larson, Fashion Designer, Writer:
"Anyone who sees Christy in concert or at a public speaking engagement is in for a rare treat. With a voice of an angel and the wisdom of the age, she entertains and lifts the spirit at the same time."

In 1995 Christy decided that she missed the beautiful simplicity of folk music, so with a rented guitar in hand she headed for the coffee houses. She began writing songs and has recorded several of them on her CDs. "I began writing songs after my children were nearly grown. I had no idea that I would enjoy expressing my feeling through my own songs. I have always loved singing but felt that songwriting should be left to others. I am constantly surprising myself and my message to the world is 'never stop exploring the possibilities."

Heather Woodhull , Nationally Touring Comedian, Actress:
"Christy is one of those people that constantly surprises and delights. Just when you think you can't laugh anymore, she carries you away with a ballad that touches your soul."

She was the Regional Co-Coordinator for the Nashville Songwriters Association International for two years.

Charlie Vervalin, Black Rose Acoustic Society:
"Christy's performances are filled with laughter and awe. She is humorous beyond description and her songs range from folk ballads to opera classics!"
